Fabric Precut Packs Available and returning to normal hours

We have received some Rowan fabric precut packs.

There are 2 varieties - "Simply Spots" - a selection of the spots fabrics and "Spot On" - a selection of Kaffe fabrics with spots and/or circles.

The Fat Quarter packs include 30 fat quarters (7.5 metres of fabric) and sell for $145.00

The Charm packs include 30 x 6 inch squares and sell for $20.00.

The Design rolls (Jelly Rolls) include 30 x 2.5 inch strips of fabric that are cut the width of the fabric (About 1.9metres) and sell for $45.00.

We have limited quantities of all these packs.

Also, from Tuesday January 29th Sunspun will be returning to our normal hours:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday - 10.00am - 5.00pm

Thursday, Friday - 10.00am - 6.00pm

Rowan Magazine 53 is on the way!

We have received a preview copy of Rowan Magazine 53 - Spring / Summer. The preview copy will be available in the shop from next week. Lots of lovely summer weight garments for both women and men. New Yarn at Sunspun

We are now stocking Pagewood Farms yarn. I saw this yarn when I was in the USA last month and Sue has arranged for Sunspun to be the exclusive Melbourne stockist. The range is gorgeous - very soft and quick to knit or crochet.
We are stocking 5 varieties - at the moment we have a limited quantity but will be ordering more in the new year. The colours and more detail will be on our website by tomorrow.

A "Wooly" Christmas wreath and some new fabrics

We have had a delivery of some new fabrics. These are not on the website yet as we are waiting for more of the ranges to arrive.

 Also, here are some photos of a Christmas wreath I made for the shop:

I used a foam wreath from Spotlight (but you can get them at other places also - Lincraft, Reject shop etc.) 1 x ball of Red Galaxy yarn (which has the sequins already in it) and 1 x ball of Zara 8 ply in a "Christmas" green. You just wind the yarn in stripes - I just carried it along at the back - and then make some pompoms and flowers (I used the Clover pompom maker for the pompoms and made the flowers by winding the wool over 3 fingers and tying a contrast yarn around the middle). Then attach the flowers and pompoms with either pins or fabric glue or a hot glue gun if you have one, pin on some extra sequins and you are done!

A World of Inspiration

Summer Hours Starting Soon

Sunspun's Summer hours begin on Monday 29th October. This means the shop will close at 4.00pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. We will be open until 6.00pm on Thursdays as per normal. PLEASE also note we will be closed Monday 24th December (Christmas eve).
This information will all be on our website also.

We have a copy of the new Kim Hargreaves book - "Enchanted" in the shop and more copies should be arriving in about 10 days. $49.95.

I'm heading off on a quilt tour to the USA for a few weeks so there'll be no blog posts for a while.
